Medical Checkup

Endoscopy (Gastroscopy/Colonoscopy)

Gastroscopy and colonoscopy are effective for early detection of digestive system cancers.
Gastroscopy (upper gastrointestinal endoscopy) is an examination to insert an endoscope through the mouth and observe your esophagus, stomach, and duodenum at once. (For the nasal endoscopy which inserts an endoscope through the nose, please refer to the website page of Full Medical Checkup, Kaikoukai Josai Hospital.) If you have any symptoms such as discomfort in your esophagus, stomach, or no appetite, consider applying for gastroscopy.
Colonoscopy (large intestine endoscopy) is an examination to insert an endoscope through the anus, observe and diagnose polyp, cancer, or inflammation of the large intestine (colon and rectum) and a part of the small intestine.

Gastroscopy and colonoscopy are possible to have examination individually, also possible to apply for the endoscopy as an optional menu of PET-CT medical checkup. (If you apply endoscopy as an optional menu, the examination day of endoscopy and PET-CT medical checkup must be scheduled on different day.) Please note that even if polyps are detected and you wish to have them removed, we can only observe them during the gastroscopy and colonoscopy of medical checkup.

※If you do not require to have PET-CT medical checkup, you can apply only endoscopy.
※Gastroscopy and colonoscopy are performed at Nagoya Kyoritsu Hospital.
